About Me

Piano...piano...piano...playing the piano and placing importance on music in my life is truly a part of our family heritage. I grew up hearing music played every day by the students of my mother, Jane Smisor Bastien. As a young child, I also heard both of my parents practicing and performing regularly as a duo-piano team.

I love to teach piano! I have a private studio in La Jolla, California, and every day, my students bring me great joy. On a daily basis, my goal is to inspire and motivate students of all ages as I teach piano and compose music.
