Teaching Familiar Pieces

Students love to play music they have heard before. Folk tunes, classical themes, pop songs, Christmas carols and Hannukah songs are big hits with students and seem to especially motivate beginners. Here are a few video clips of a 6-year old student working on folk tunes. The first video shows her counting aloud while playing and then the next one shows her singing.
